Mason Mount has risked upsetting fans of his former club Chelsea following a conversation with his Dad in the home dressing room at Old Trafford.
After 18 years as a Chelsea player, the midfielder completed a £60million move to Manchester United this week.
Mount has a strong connection with Chelsea, but in a behind the scenes video of his first day at United there was a moment that may well anger Blues supporters.
Sitting in the home dressing room at Old Trafford, Mount's father Tony revealed that he brought him there as a little boy, with Mount replying that it's 'special'.
'Mason...this dressing room man....home mate, HOME,' Tony says. 'Who would have thought aye, when I brought you up here as a little boy...'
Mount then replies: 'I know. Special isn't it.'
Mount, who is expected to earn £250,000-a-week at Chelsea, will be determined to make an instant impact for United.
During his time at Chelsea he made 195 appearances and scored 33 goals, while he provided 37 assists.
The England international won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021 and also lifted the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
Mount was given the number seven shirt at United, which has been worn by players such as George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.
After joining United, Mount revealed that Chelsea made it clear to him several months ago that he wasn't in their plans.
'Several months ago, it became clear I wasn't in Chelsea's plans going forward and once I knew United were involved my decision was made up,' he told MUTV.
'Massive club, huge iconic players that have played here and I wanted to be part of that from the beginning. Getting here early ready for pre-season to start was a main objective of mine as well.'
Mount stated that he draws inspiration from the likes of Beckham and Ronaldo.
He said: 'So many iconic players have played for this club and watching them as a youngster and also being a fan of them, it is very special to be here. This is what I've worked a long, long time for and it is so exciting.
'I had a lot of idols. Ronaldo, you see the little video of me when I was younger. I loved watching him play. Becks [David Beckham] was also a massive inspiration of mine, I was in awe of his free-kick technique. You take bits of inspiration from different players.'
