Jose Mourinho has emerged as a shock frontrunner to become the new boss of Celtic after his odds were slashed from 66/1 to just 14 by a leading bookmaker.
A flurry of bets on Sunday caused bookmaker Paddy Power to cut the odds for the Portuguese to move to Parkhead.
Former Hoops manager Neil Lennon returned to the club as interim boss on February 27 after Brendan Rodgers departed to take over at Leicester.
Rodgers had led Celtic to two successive domestic trebles, including an unbeaten season in his maiden campaign.
Lennon remains one of the favourites to assume the job permanently, with Roberto Martinez, David Wagner and Martin O'Neill also short-priced.
But Mourinho is the latest to join the list after being sacked by Manchester United in December after two-and-a-half seasons in charge.
The Portuguese has attracted interest from across Europe as he plots his next move, with sides including Lyon and Bayern Munich considering a move for his services.
A Paddy Power spokesman said: 'Jose Mourinho and Celtic may not seem like a natural partnership, but the Bhoys do have recent experience in coaches with humongous egos.
'And, actually, both parties have pretty strong links with Champions League success in Portugal.
'It could be viewed as an odd move for Mourinho but, having linked himself with the jobs at PSG and Bayern, Celtic would fit with apparent approach of targeting one-club leagues.
