Mourinho praises Pepe & Tierney but questions Ceballos' addition

Former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes that Nicolas Pepe and Kieran Tierney are solid additions for Arsenal, although he questioned the capture of Dani Ceballos.

“I followed Lille a lot. Last season I didn't want to come to English stadiums after being sacked by Manchester United and I went to Lille many times,” he told Sky Sports.

“I know Pepe quite well and I think he is a very, very talented player but there is always a question mark on the time it takes to adapt, coming to England, he's French spoken, an African boy who grew up in France. He's potentially a very good signing for Arsenal.

“Tierney, I think he's a young Monreal. The same kind of profile, a reliable boy who looks a great character, looks a great personality, looks a little bit like he's from a previous generation with his way of behaving. I like his profile.

“Ceballos, I think they have another Ceballos in the squad. He is a good player but I think they have others, like Mkhitaryan and Ozil, they can play in different positions on the pitch and have very similar characteristics.”
