The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are preparing for their London showdown, and were graced with the presence of Raheem Sterling.

Sterling stopped by to catch up with the baseball stars of the two American heavyweights, who are preparing to face each other on British soil in a two-game set.

As fans flocked into West Ham United's London Stadium to watch a final training session, Sterling made his way onto the pitch and was seen chatting away with several big name stars.

The Manchester City ace then offered up his time to pose with some supporters for photographs at pitch-side.

The Yankees and Red Sox both travelled to London following their Wednesday afternoon games, and the players were given Thursday to themselves as an off-day in the capital.

Friday brought a return to business and a final training session before the action getting underway.

Major League Baseball (MLB) also has several clinics and events scheduled throughout the trip that will involve each personnel from each team.

For the contest, the Red Sox have been allocated as the home team however both teams will wear their home uniforms for the fixtures.

The London Stadium pitch has been completely transformed to accommodate for the event.

The playing field will be 330 feet down both lines, and only 385 feet to center field. There will also be a 16-foot wall in center.
