Nantes place £25m valuation on striker Sala amid Premier League interest

Nantes have put a £25million price tag on top scorer Emiliano Sala as Premier League clubs begin to circle.

The 28-year-old Argentine has scored 12 goals in 13 games this season and has drawn the attention of Everton, Wolves, West Ham and Fulham, who are now coached by Sala's former boss Claudio Ranieri.

Many of Sala's suitors believed Nantes would sell for around £10m but eccentric club owner Waldemar Kita wants more than double that amount for one of Europe's in-form strikers.

Everton are weighing up a number of options as they look for a more clinical finisher as are their rivals.

Wolves have considered Liverpool's Divock Origi, also a target for Galatasaray, while West Ham, who have also asked about Kostas Mitroglou at Marseille, want another option as they are expecting offers from Besiktas, among others, for unsettled Javier Hernandez.

Sala, who is 6ft 2ins tall, has yet to be capped by Argentina but has an Italian passport and has spent his entire senior career in France.

Crystal Palace have also watched Sala but are exploring other options.
