NAPOLI are in contact with Manchester United regarding a move for Eric Bailly, according to reports.

The Serie A side are preparing for life after stalwart defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Senegalese defender, 31, is set to bring eight years at Napoli to an end by signing for Chelsea in a £34m deal.

Koulibaly has reportedly agreed a deal worth around £162,000 a week at Stamford Bridge.

According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, Napoli are looking to Man United for their Koulibaly replacement.

They claim that the Italian club have opened talks with the Red Devils in a bid to sign Ivorian ace Bailly.

The 28-year-old has played for United for six years, but only made three Premier League starts last season.

Bailly is on tour with Erik ten Hag's side and featured in the 4-0 win over Liverpool in Bangkok yesterday.

He is set to travel to Australia with his team-mates for matches against Melbourne Victory, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

Bailly has made 113 appearances in total for the Red Devils.

Napoli have experience dealing with United chiefs, having signed Axel Tuanzebe on loan in January.

Club bosses have alternative targets to Bailly in mind.

They have been offered Fiorentina ace Nikola Milenkovic, while Udinese star Rodrigo Becao is on their radar.

Napoli could also move for Fenerbahce's South Korean Kim Min-jae.
