A number of National League South clubs will send their support to hospitalised Bath City striker Alex Fletcher during Saturday afternoon's fixtures.
There was immediate concern for the 23-year-old after he collided with a concrete advertising hoarding on the side of the pitch during Bath's match with Dulwich Hamlet on Tuesday.
After over half an hour of assistance at Twerton Park, the home of Bath City, Fletcher was taken to hospital in an ambulance, and underwent emergency neurosurgery. In the latest update on the striker's condition, he was described as being in a 'stable but critical condition'.
The Dulwich Halmet match was immediately abandoned. Bath City have since cancelled their fixtures for this weekend, as previously reported by Sportsmail. This included a National League South fixture against Worthing, a Somerset Cup match, and Bath City Women's fixture against Wellington Ladies FC.
At other National League South fixtures this weekend, clubs will come together after seven minutes of action to send their well-wishes to Fletcher, his family and teammates - Fletcher wearing the No. 7. for Bath City.
Havant & Waterlooville have encouraged their fans and visiting fans from Dulwich Hamlet to take part in a minute's applause during the opening stages of their match on Saturday.
Concord Rangers have confirmed a similar tribute will be held when they host Welling United, adding 'We are all behind you Alex'.
While other clubs have yet to confirm plans for Saturday's fixtures, fans may wish to make their support for Fletcher and Bath City known in their own way.
Fletcher played his youth career at Plymouth Argyle, and joined Bath City in January 2021. He has played 55 National League South games for the side during the past two years, as well as 13 appearances in other competitions.
Bath City currently sit in eighth place in the National League South, just on the edge of the playoff places. The league is currently led by unbeaten side Ebbsfleet.
