Former AC Milan and Lazio defender Alessandro Nesta is confident he'd have been able to handle Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm since joining Manchester City in July, scoring 14 goals in just eight league matches.
"I can play, yes! Because I played against Ronaldo, the Brazilian," Nesta explained to COPA90 when asked about how he would have fared against Haaland.
"Haaland is very good, but the other one [Ronaldo] was something different.
"I played against Messi, against Cristiano, but the Brazilian Ronaldo, for me, was different."
Speaking about how he would go about stopping Haaland, Nesta said it is important to not give the forward any space or he will punish you.
"I try to stay close to him. When he tries to start [running], maybe I block [him]," Nesta added.
"Too much space - you are dead!"
