Newport County will install a temporary stand to increase their stadium's capacity by 1,000 and make the most of Manchester United's FA Cup visit later this month.
The new stand will hold supporters for the match against Wrexham this weekend and their fourth-round tie against United on January 28, boosting the capacity to 9,000.
Newport beat Eastleigh 3-1 on Tuesday night to set up the dream encounter against one of football's blue-ribbon clubs.
The Exiles are likely to pocket around £400,000 from the occasion, which will be shown on BBC One.
'We are pleased to confirm that following tonight's [Tuesday's] result, work will begin on erecting a temporary stand behind the North Terrace which will welcome a further 1,000 passionate Exiles,' a club statement read.
Their match against Welsh rivals Wrexham was already a sell-out but new tickets are going on sale for that game.
Manager Graham Coughlan said: 'We have some really juicy fixtures coming up with Wrexham on Saturday, Manchester United and Swindon after that. We have three sell-outs coming up.
'Our football club should cherish that, our football club should revel in that. Hopefully we can go out do ourselves proud on Saturday and hopefully do ourselves proud against the mighty Manchester United.'
He added: 'It'll be a hell of an occasion.
'It's a fourth round tie against Manchester United, for me the biggest club in this country, in Europe and in the world.
'I know some people would lean towards the fifth round game against Manchester City [in February 2019], but I'd say Manchester United all day long.'
It is a welcome boost for the supporter-owned club who have encountered financial difficulties and are on the brink of being taken over by Huw Jenkins, the former Swansea chairman who took them into the Premier League.
Coughlan and his family are Manchester United fans, sweetening the occasion for them - though they will want to put their beloved club to the sword.
He said: 'We're a big Manchester United family, we've been to FA Cup finals with them.
'I can't get my head around it to be honest, they are unbelievable names.
'Just to have Manchester United coming to Rodney Parade is a hell of an achievement.
'I don't know when it will sink in, I'm sure my family are doing Irish jigs around the house at the moment.'
Newport added: 'The club is also adding an additional 400 seats to the away stand to meet the FA's allocation guidelines for the Manchester United tie.'
