The next Chelsea manager market will be an interesting one to watch over the final weeks of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign after Graham Potter's exit on Sunday
Julian Nagelsmann is the favourite to become the next permanent Chelsea manager, according to the bookmakers.
The Blues decided to sack Graham Potter on Sunday evening after losing 2-0 to Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, a result that left them 11th in the current Premier League standings. The club's statement read: "Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club.
"Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition. In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter-final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future."
It is currently unclear who will replace Potter in the managerial hot-seat at Stamford Bridge but Betfair have former Bayern Munich boss Nagelsmann as the frontrunner. The German, who was relieved of his duties by Bayern last month, is currently 10/11 to replace Potter, with former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino and Real Madrid icon Zinedine Zidane 7/2 and 6/1 respectively.
Other notable names include Luis Enrique (10/1) and Diego Simeone (12/1) whilst a shock return for Jose Mourinho is priced at 14/1.
