After off the field issues and injuries aplenty, Neymar is enjoying his football again at Paris Saint-Germain.
The former Barcelona forward is in a rich vein of form for the French champions and continues to impress both his teammates and his coach.
Many suggested that the Brazilian initially made the move to Paris in order to leave Lionel Messi's shadow, but that's not the case.
Scoring more frequently
Since making the move to the Parc des Princes in 2017, Neymar has contributed to 101 goals for his club (66 goals and 35 assists) in 75 matches.
That gives him a ratio of 0.88 goals per game and 0.46 assists per game in a PSG shirt. At Barcelona, he scored 0.56 goals per game and gave 0.4 assists per game. Before that, with Santos, he scored 0.52 goals per game and assisted 0.26 times per game, according to Transfermarkt.
"I'm in my best period of form," Neymar said recently.
"I'm happy to score, assist and help the team. I'm 100 percent focused on PSG."
So far this season, the Brazilian has scored 15 goals in 17 games, with 56 percent of his shots hitting the back of the net.
Best scoring run in Europe
Only Wissam Ben Yedder (14) has more goals than Neymar and Kylian Mbappe (both 13) in Ligue 1 this campaign.
In fact, Neymar has scored in each of his last seven league games - his best run ever in a European league. He only managed four games in a row with Barcelona.
If he reaches an eighth match in a row, he'll equal the PSG club record of eight that is currently shared between Carlos Bianchi (1978/79) and Mbappe (2019/20).
