Neymar names dream five-a-side football team and includes Messi

Neymar has named his dream five-a-side football team and included former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi but surprisingly left out Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Brazilian superstar recently organised a five-a-side tournament himself at Praia Grande in Sao Paulo and was asked afterwards who he would pick if he had the choice.

Despite being only 26, the Paris Saint-German attacker has already played with a plethora of stars following a spell at Barcelona and his pivotal role for the Brazilian national team.

It is probably no surprise that the first name on Neymar's team sheet was Messi given the impressive attacking trio they built alongside Luis Suarez at Barcelona.

The South American trio helped Barcelona to an impressive treble in the 2014-15 campaign under Luis Enrique before they were broken up by Neymar's £198m move to PSG last summer.

The rest of the team is comprised of Brazilian players with Neymar opting to include  current PSG team-mates Dani Alves and Thiago Silva as well as Gabriel Jesus.

Neymar won the Ligue 1 title with both Alves and Silva last season. The trio would have gone on to represent Brazil at the World Cup together if Alves had not been ruled out through injury in the build up.

Both Alves and Silva would bring some much needed defensive cover to the team and the trio have made over 250 appearances combined for the Brazilian national team.

The line-up is then completed by Jesus, who played in a dynamic front three with Neymar and Willian at this summer's World Cup.

The Manchester City forward was frustrated in front of goal in Russia though and there were calls for Liverpool's Roberto Firmino to be started instead.

Ronaldo is perhaps the most surprising omission from the list of talented players that were overlooked while Neymar's compatriot Philippe Coutinho is also unlucky to miss out.
