Neymar trains with PSG for first time since suffering serious foot injury

Neymar is close to returning to full fitness and trained with his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates for the first time on Saturday since suffering a serious foot injury earlier this year.

The Brazilian has spent a significant amount of time on the sidelines, having injured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot during the French champions Coupe de France clash with Strasbourg in January.

Neymar has missed their last 16 games but could return to action this month after taking part in a full training session this weekend.

The forward was seen doing keepy-ups and laughing and joking with his team-mates during the light session.

It is unclear whether or not the 27-year-old will be part of PSG's squad for their match at second-placed Lille on Sunday with Thomas Tuchel choosing to rest his big-name players in their last game.

The Parisians missed the chance to seal the Ligue 1 title for the second year in a row as they were held by Strasbourg 2-2 last week.

Victory on Sunday would see PSG crowned the French champions yet again and Neymar hopes to play a part in the run-in to the end of the season.

Despite missing most of the second half of the season, he has still managed to chalk up 20 goals and 11 assists from 23 matches.
