According to SPORT, Nico Williams (22) has rejected the opportunity to join Paris Saint-Germain from Athletic Bilbao during the summer transfer window. This leaves the Spanish international with the option of joining Barcelona or staying at his boyhood club.
Les Parisiens had targeted Williams as they looked to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappé following his move to Real Madrid. As reported by Fabrice Hawkins, the Ligue 1 champions had been working hard to reach an agreement on personal terms with the left winger. However, it appears these attempts have now failed. Barcelona are the only team left in the race ton sign the wide forward, SPORT understands.
PSG are not the only team that Williams has rejected this summer. The 22-year-old has also rejected the opportunity to swap La Liga for the Premier League. The EURO 2024 star’s future now looks to be a little clearer after he turned down the opportunity to play under Luis Enrique at the Parc des Princes.
