Nicolas Jackson is said to be close to a move to Chelsea from Villarreal despite currently being on international duty with Senegal
It is expected that the arrival of Christian Nkunku will soon be announced, while efforts are being made to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and there is interest in Romeo Lavia. The Blues have also been targeting a striker for the incoming Mauricio Pochettino, and a deal does not seem far away.
Speaking to WiwSport, Jackson's a gent Diomansy Kamara said: "We know his qualities. But he must continue working. Now, we will see what will happen this summer. We know that there are many possibilities that go to another club at the beginning of the season"
"He would have liked to join the Premier League, but it did not happen. And then he went back to work and exploded even more in Villarreal. As I said, it is a club with which we have good relations. They opened the door for Nicolas Jackson and allowed him to grow. We will never forget that. But if both parties can win, contributing money to Villarreal and having a new sports project for us, we are not going to close the door. Now we have offers on the table. We are in the process of evaluating them and, shortly, you will have news regarding their situation."
After a sluggish time under Unai Emery, Jackson managed to rack up nine goals in his final eight appearances of the season under Quique Setien to ensure he left his impression on La Liga. Speculation has grown that Jackson will head to London for a medical this week, though Senegal face Brazil in Portugal on Tuesday evening.
Amid the reports of a proposed trip to London however. Kamara has posted an Instagram story of himself with an overnight bag and a plane emoji. Possibly a harmless coincedence but travel may be required if the deal is to be done so quickly after links first emerged.
