Norwich and Brighton have asked about Genk and Tanzania striker Mbwana Samatta.
Valued at about £10million, he has scored 10 goals this season - three in the Champions League against Liverpool and RB Salzburg.
He also interests Eintracht Frankfurt and Lazio.
The 27-year-old was the top scorer in the Belgian top division last season with 25 goals as Genk lifted the fourth league trophy in their history.
Samatta had also crowned the winner of the Ebony Shoe award last year, which is awarded to the best African player or player of African descent in Belgium throughout a campaign.
The international has previously been linked with moves to several other Premier League outfits, including high-flying Leicester, Aston Villa and Watford.
