Norwich consider making late swoop for Sheffield Wednesday forward Jordan Rhodes

Norwich are considering a late transfer window move to re-sign Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes.

The forward spent last season on loan at Norwich, scoring nine goals as the Canaries secured promotion to the Premier League.

But Norwich boss Daniel Farke is likely to face competition from a host of Championship clubs, with Birmingham, Swansea and Bristol City also interested in Rhodes.

Since joining the Owls in 2017 from Middlesbrough, Rhodes has gone on to make 55 appearances, scoring 10 goals.

Rhodes is entering the final 12 months of his contract with Wednesday which could see the Hillsborough outfit take a cut-price fee for the English-born Scotland international.

Norwich could pay anywhere in the region of £4million for Rhodes as they look to get a deal over the line before Thursday's deadline.
