Nuno Espirito Santo has welcomed the return of fans to Premier League matches even though his Wolves side will not benefit from it.
With Wolverhampton in Tier Three, the club will have to wait a little longer before allowing crowds back to Molineux, but clubs based in Tier Two can invite supporters back from December 2.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa and Newcastle manager Steve Bruce fear the new system will give an advantage to teams who play in front of an audience, but Nuno believes the bigger picture is more important than individual concerns.
He said: ‘I feel it is good to have fans back. It’s important for football over the world to have fans back in the stadiums.
‘We are in Tier Three, so let’s take care of ourselves and take care of each other so we can have our fans back at Molineux again as soon as possible. We have to get rid of this virus so we can be happy again.’
Nuno was coy on whether he would stick with a four-man defence at Arsenal on Sunday, after using the system for the first time in his three-year reign for the 1-1 draw with Southampton last Monday.
The absence of Conor Coady and Romain Saiss forced Nuno’s hand but the Portuguese was relatively happy with how the system worked. He added: ‘The team responded well to a different situation.
'There were some good things and other things that weren’t so good, but we are ready to compete. That is more important than anyone else.’
