Ipswich Town is delighted to confirm the return of midfielder Jens Cajuste.

Jens spent the 2024/25 season at Portman Road and once again joins on loan from Serie A champions Napoli for the new campaign.

The Sweden international made 33 appearances for Town last season, scoring one goal, with his strike against Nottingham Forest winning the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award for March.

“I’m really happy everything has fallen into place and I’m delighted to be back,” Jens said.

“I always had the ambition, going into the summer, that I would be excited to come back here and I’m really looking forward to getting started again with my teammates.

“Being at the club last season was one of the best experiences of my professional career, especially in terms of camaraderie and team spirit, as well as working under an incredible manager who I have the highest level of respect for.

“From what I have seen the Championship is like war and one of the toughest leagues in the world, so that’s a challenge I am really excited about.”

Prior to joining Town last summer, Jens spent a season with Napoli having previously represented Reims in France, Danish side FC Midtjylland, and Orgryte in his homeland.

He has played Champions League and Europa League football during his career, has made 25 appearances for his country, and was part of the Sweden squad at UEFA Euro 2020.

Jens will wear the number 12 shirt for the Blues in 2025/26.
