OFFICIAL: James Rodriguez returns to European football by joining Olympiacos & will wear the No.10 shirt
PAE Olympiacos announces the signing of another world football star, James Rodríguez.
The 31-year-old Colombian midfielder was born on July 12, 1991 and has played for some of the best teams in the world. In 2014, Real Madrid bought him from Monaco. With the Spanish team he made 125 appearances with a tally of 37 goals and 42 assists. He was followed by Bayern Munich from 2017 to 2019, in which he scored 15 goals and 20 assists in 67 matches. In 2020 he signed for Everton, with whom he made 26 appearances, scoring six goals and providing nine assists. In September 2021, he was sold to Al Rayyan of Qatar, with whom he had five goals and seven assists in 15 games. He started his career with his native Envigado in 2008, followed by Banfield from Argentina in 2009 and then Porto in 2010 (108 appearances, 32 goals – 42 assists) and Monaco in 2013 (38 appearances, ten goals – 14 assist).
Rodriguez was top scorer at the 2014 World Cup when he scored six goals for Colombia, for which he has been capped 86 times, scoring 24 goals. In Porto he won three championships (2011, 2012, 2013), one cup (2011) and four Portuguese Super Cups (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), while with Bayern he won two championships (2018, 2019), one cup (2019 ) and two German Super Cups. During his time at Real he lifted two Champions Leagues (2016, 2017) two championships (2017, 2020), two Club World Cups (2014, 2016), two European Super Cups (2015, 2017) and one Spanish Super Cup (2020) .
