Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has been voted the Premier League Player of the Matchweek.

The Matchweek 5 winner netted the first goal and then set up the second for Hugo Ekitike in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Everton, as he became the youngest player to both score and assist in a Premier League Merseyside derby.

Gravenberch gave Liverpool the lead with a sublime hooked finish from Mohamed Salah's cross before turning from scorer to provider with a superb pass to release Ekitike.

The 23-year-old picked up 31 per cent of the vote in a fan poll featuring eight standout performers of Matchweek 5. His closest challenger was Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes (20 per cent).

The other six nominees were: Anton Stach (16 per cent), Jeremy Doku and Nordi Mukiele (both 11 per cent), Alex Iwobi (six per cent), Martin Dubravka (four per cent) and Tyrick Mitchell (one per cent).
