Manchester City announce that Oleksandr Zinchenko has signed a new contract, which will keep him at the club until June 2024.
The 22-year-old Ukraine international is the second player in 24 hours to commit his long-term future to the Premier League champions after Kyle Walker signed a two-year extension on Wednesday.
It completes a remarkable turnaround for Zinchenko who rejected a £16million move to Wolves last summer as well as the opportunity to join Real Betis in favour of fighting for his place in Pep Guardiola’s side.
It paid dividends as Zinchenko, aa 1.7m buy from FC Ufa in 2016, established himself as first-choice left back in the prolonged absence of injury-hit Benjamin Mendy as City completed a domestic Treble.
