Milan have officially announced the arrival of Mario Mandzukic, who has been given the No9 shirt at San Siro.
The former Juventus striker has signed a deal until the end of 2020-21, with an option to extend for a further year.
“We have a new No9,” Milan wrote on their official Twitter account. “Welcome Mario Mandzukic.”
The club wrote in an official statement: “AC Milan are delighted to announce the signing of Mario Mandžukić. The Club and the striker have agreed on a deal until the end of the current season with an option to extend the contract for the next one.”
Mandzukic returns to Serie A after a stint with Qatari side Al-Duhail, where he scored one goal in seven games.
He left Juventus last January, after having played 162 games with the Bianconeri, scoring 44 goals in the process.
