Former Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita completes move to Werder Bremen on a three-year deal
Keita joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig for a fee of £48m in 2017 and went on to feature 129 times in five seasons, contirbuting 11 goals and seven assists.
During that time he helped his side win every trophy available, the Reds claiming the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup, each on one occasion.
The 28-year-old was a key player for Jurgen Klopp but started just two Premier League games this season, largely due to two significant injuries.
The Reds are clearly in need of a big rebuild after what was a bitterly disappointing campaign and Keita could be one of many to make way.
The news comes after Liverpool completed the signing of midfielder Alexis Mac Allister on Thursday.
Keita was given a guard of honour following Liverpool's final home game of the season against Aston Villa.
A move to bring Keita back to the Bundesliga would be a statement signing from Bremen. Die Werderaner will hope that their new acquisition will push them back up the Bundesliga table after a strong first season back in the Bundesliga where they were able to comfortably avoid relegation.
