Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting from Stoke City on a two-year deal.

Aged 29, the Cameroonian international has played high-level football in Germany, gracing the shirts of Hamburg SV, Mainz 05 - where he worked under Thomas Tuchel between 2011 and 2014 - and Schalke 04.

Choupo-Moting was English Premier League side Stoke City's marquee signing, but failed to help the team avoid relegation to Championship.

He has played 204 Bundesliga matches and 30 Premier League matches, as well as 27 European competition matches, including 11 in the Champions League.

After playing in all categories of youth teams for Germany from U18 to U21, he became a Cameroonian international, competing in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, as well as the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

'I feel extremely honored to join today in this European top club that is Paris Saint-Germain,' says Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

'I want to thank the leaders and the coach for the trust they put in me by recruiting me. I will strive to do my best on the field, day after day, to express my appreciation for my new club.'
