Real Madrid have completed the signing of defender Jose Lopez Martinez, known as Chechu, from Malaga.
The U17 international can play in both the centre of defence and as a left-back, whose power and versatility will be a key asset for his new club.
MARCA revealed on Wednesday that the deal was close to completion and Los Blancos have now finalised the move.
On Wednesday, he was at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu to witness Real's Copa del Rey clash with Leganes and when all of the documentation was processed, his move was completed.
Chechu was born in Murcia and came through the youth academy at his hometown side before leaving for Valencia and then ultimately joining Malaga.
His arrival at Real Madrid is the second in as many days for a player represented by agent Pere Guardiola, brother of Pep, following the signing of Brahim Diaz.
The deal also includes the return to Malaga for Dani Sanchez, who arrived from their academy in 2015 and goes back four years later.
Malaga youngster hails move to "greatest club in the world"
"As of today, I'm a part of the greatest club in the world, Real Madrid C.F.," said the central defender in a post on his Instagram account on Thursday. "It'll be a source of pride for me, and at the same time, a huge challenge, to wear this shirt."
Martínez is expected to go into Madrid's Under-19s squad, although he could also be given game time with Castilla, the club's 'B' team.
Los Blancos are yet to publicly confirm the player's signing or add his profile to any of the squads listed on their official website.
Central defender can also operate at left-back
Also able to play at left-back, Martínez began his career in the Real Murcia youth set-up, before a spell at Valencia was followed by a move back down south to Málaga.
He has won three caps for Spain's Under-17s.
