OPINION: Zidane has huge reasons for rejecting Neymar at Real Madrid

Real Madrid are keen on signing Neymar during the summer, but the prospect has not been warmly welcomed by Zinedine Zidane for good reasons.

Paris Saint-Germain winger Neymar has grown frustrated with life in France and is reportedly seeking an exit during the summer. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been put on red alert by the news, but Fox Sports reportedly claims that the first-team manager Zinedine Zidane is not too upbeat about the prospect going ahead.

The Brazil international's issues have not gone down well with the Paris Saint-Germain chiefs and things have only gone on and aggravated in the recent months. Firstly, a foul-mouthed rant from Neymar against the official who refereed PSG's second leg against Manchester United cost him a three-match ban in the Champions League.

And then, the former Barcelona forward allegedly punched a fan out of frustration when Paris Saint-Germain and Neymar were beaten in the Coupe de France Final by lowly Rennes. It now looks like the club has also grown up with the left winger's antics and the best of both worlds seems that the club and player go separate ways next season.

Neymar has also signalled that he wants to play alongside Eden Hazard, who is bound to sign for Real Madrid during the summer and that may well have been his intention to create a snowball effect of transfers in Spain's capital. But the 27-year-old's highly anticipated move may not end up going through after all.

Zinedine Zidane believes that Neymar will cost an arm and a leg given that PSG themselves paid 220 million euros for his services only two years back. Moreover, the Frenchman is not too impressed with the ex-Santos man's lifestyle of having nightlife and his ego. Hence, he has suggested that the club doesn't sign him to prevent the burning of bridges.
