Odegaard to sue two Norwegian media over invasion of privacy during wedding

According to the latest report from Norwegian media Se og Hør, Martin Ødegaard is taking legal action against two Norwegian media outlets after photographers disturbed his wedding.

It is reported that Ødegaard is suing weekly magazine Se og Hør and daily newspaper Dagbladet, accusing them of invading privacy in reports about his residence in the UK. In a letter to Se og Hør editor Niklas Kockin-Thoresen, Ødegaard's lawyer said: "Your article described the location of our client's recently purchased family home and included photos." Kockin-Thoresen stated that he remains "composed" about these allegations and will not remove the articles.

Last week, Ødegaard's dream weekend wedding to Helen Spilling was disrupted by a commotion, during which multiple security personnel dragged a photographer away. The photojournalist was escorted out as guests were leaving near the end of the ceremony, and the magazine he worked for later threatened to take police action.

In a statement, Se og Hør said: "We strongly object to the use of force by security personnel against our photographer at the scene. He was reporting on a public event in a public place. They had no right to block the parking lot or area around the church. Therefore, this matter will be reported to the police—we cannot allow the use of force against journalists and photographers performing their duties."
