Gabriel Barbosa has officially signed with Flamengo and the Brazilian forward completed a €17m deal from Inter.
Reigning Brazilian and South American champions Flamengo have announced the signing of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa from Inter moments ago via their official Twitter account.
The Rubonegro released a video via their official Twitter account with the caption: “Confirmed! Gabigol is a Manegao.”This follows a statement from the player himself moments earlier where he confirmed that he would be staying with Flamengo via a Tweet from his official Twitter account.
In neither announcement is there a mention of any transfer fees but several reports in Italy and Brazil all report that Flamengo have bought 80% of the rights to Gabigol for a fee of €17-19 million with the Nerazzurri retaining 20% ownership.
This effectively guarantees the club 20% of any future transfer fees for the player should he be sold in the future.
