Owen: Casemiro's void hard to fill, Man Utd must buy Matheus. Fernandes

Owen stated that his former club must go all out to sign Matheus-Fernandes, especially with Anderson on the verge of moving to Manchester City.

"Casemiro's departure leaves a huge void to fill, doesn't it?" Owen said in an interview, "Many people weren't optimistic about Manchester United's midfield before, but Casemiro performed exceptionally well in the last third of the season, and his position will be difficult to replace."

"If I were Carrick, and from Manchester United's perspective, I would definitely sign Fernandes from West Ham United. This player is incredibly talented and exactly the type the team desperately needs."

"Elliott-Anderson will most likely go to Manchester City, but there are many other options on the market, including Baléba from Brighton and Alex Scott from Bournemouth. But if it were me, Fernandes would be the first choice."

"His performance last season was outstanding."

"I've watched many of his games, and this signing is very cost-effective. The player is still young, which is a big bonus. Since you're going to spend £80-100 million on a transfer fee, you shouldn't choose a player who is approaching thirty."

"I'm optimistic about him forming a solid midfield partnership with Kobbie Mainoo, and this transfer is a real possibility. West Ham United have been relegated to the Championship, and he certainly won't want to stay and play in the second tier, so signing him is highly feasible."

"In my mind, he is Manchester United's number one target for midfield recruitment."
