Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain showed he is not letting his long road to recovery dampen his spirits as he danced to Chris Brown's hit song 'With You' in the gym on Monday morning.

The 25-year-old suffered a nasty injury to his knee during last season's semi-final first leg against Roma and is unlikely to pull on the Liverpool shirt for the remainder of the season.

However, he has managed to maintain his positivity during his rehabilitation with Rhian Brewster sharing a video of the midfielder having fun during Monday's workout.

The 18-year-old posted a video of his team-mate mouthing the lyrics to the 2007  tune with a poll asking fans whether or not he was on a par with Brown.

The majority of his followers were clearly impressed by Oxlade-Chamberlain's moves with 72 per cent voting that he was.

Keeping supporters up to date through his social media platforms, Oxlade-Chamberlain has incorporated bike work along with boxing drills in a bid to speed up his return to the first-team over the past couple of months.

The recovery exercises have varied from rope work while out on holiday with close friends to seeing his knee tested more than ever since his injury inside the club's Melwood training ground.

'It's going well - very boring, very slow, very long, all the good stuff!'; Oxlade-Chamberlain said last month. 'But I'm making progress, which is obviously what we need. It's just a long process and I just keep plugging away, but I'm in good spirits and I'm really positive about it,' the England international said.

'You just get into a routine (with) tunnel vision and keep going, setting yourself little goals and little things to achieve.

'I passed the ball the other day, not very well, but I started passing the ball and that was massive for me to be able to kick and know that my knee can kick a ball.

'Even though it was five yards, I've started working on stuff like that and it's little wins like that that keep you going and keep you pushing forward to the next one.'
