Premier League clubs could have to pay millions in order to fly players back to the UK in time for the resumption of the season, according to reports.
Several stars returned home to be with their families before the coronavirus lockdown was imposed in March.
Football is currently suspended but some clubs have returned to isolated training with the Premier League hoping they can resume the season in June.
Some clubs have not set a date for going back to training but, according to the Daily Star, many are worried their players will be unable to get back into the country in time because of the travel restrictions around the world.
This would force them to pay for private jets to fly their stars back to the UK which could cost millions.
Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes and Man City's Bernado Silva both went back to Portugal while fellow city star Fernandinho and Chelsea's Willian returned to Brazil.
The reported cost of chartering a plane from Brazil to the UK is £500,000 but clubs think companies such as PrivateFly and NetJets will raise their prices becuse of the pandemic.
Some teams have supposedly discussed the idea of sharing travel costs and asking the likes of Willian and Fernandinho to travel back together.
Anyone returning to the UK will also have to spend two weeks in quarantine due to coronavirus laws which will delay stars from starting the three weeks training needed before resuming competitive football.
The Premier League are meeting today to discuss plans for finishing the 2019-2020 season.
