Pablo Machin has been confirmed as the new head coach of Deportivo Alaves.
The former Espanyol and Sevilla boss had been appointed by Chinese Super League side Qingdao Huanghai on July 22, but will now return to Spain on a one-year deal with Alaves.
Machin takes over from Asier Garitano who was sacked at the end of the season after a run of five straight defeats despite steering the club clear of relegation.
