Patrick Bamford marked his return from injury with a hat-trick for Leeds United Under 23s in their 6-3 win over Burnley on Tuesday.
Bamford signed for Leeds from Middlesbrough for £7million in the summer.
But the 25-year-old damaged his posterior cruciate knee ligament in September.
Initially ruled out for four months, he made his first competitive start at Burnley's Barnfield Training Centre.
The forward completed the 90 minutes in front of the watching Burnley manager Sean Dyche.
Lewis Baker, Izzy Brown and Jack Clarke also scored for Leeds against Burnley who had Tom Heaton in goal.
