Paul Mariner: Former England international dies aged 68

Former England international Paul Mariner has died at the age of 68.

The former Plymouth, Ipswich, Arsenal and Portsmouth centre-forward, who began his career with non-League Chorley, won 35 caps for England and made two substitute appearances at the 1980 European Championship in Italy.

He won both the UEFA Cup and FA Cup during his eight-year spell at Ipswich, where he scored 136 goals in 337 appearances for the club.
