Former Tottenham talent spotter Paul Mitchell has rejected up to four Premier League clubs to sign a new three-year contract with Red Bull.

At the end of this month Mitchell will leave his position as RB Leipzig's head of recruitment and development to become technical director of Red Bull's global soccer division.

As reported by Sky Sports News, Mitchell's new role will see him oversee development at RB Leipzig in addition to working with New York Red Bulls and Brazilian side Red Bull Bragantino.

The 38-year-old had previously been linked with positions at Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Mitchell has been widely praised for his work at RB Leipzig, who are currently top of the Bundesliga.

In the summer transfer window, Mitchell brought in Ademola Lookman and Ethan Ampadu at RB Leipzig, with the latter joining on loan from Chelsea.

While at Southampton, Mitchell oversaw the signings of players such as Sadio Mane, Dusan Tadic and Dejan Lovren.

At Tottenham he brought in the likes of Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Toby Alderweireld.
