Pep Guardiola's Manchester City stars wear questionable all black outfits

It appears it's not just on the pitch where Pep Guardiola has got his Manchester City side so in sync.

Prior to their International Champions Cup clash with Bayern Munich, the City squad all donned the same questionable outfit, which came in for plenty of criticism on social media.

The reigning Premier League champions wore an all black DSQUARED2 - a Canadian clothing brand - outfit, with Manchester City printed in white on the t-shirts.

Guardiola opted for a very laid-back look, with his side donning a black top, black shorts, long black socks and black shoes.

City, who have worn DSQUARED 2 attire plenty of times prior to this, would have had to fork out the cash for their latest outfits with the price of t-shirts on their website starting at  £155 and going up to £300.

Inevitably, football fans took to social media to give their amusing opinions regarding City's latest attire.

After City posted a collection of photos alongside the caption: 'Before the match, the squad was looking fresh', one fan replied: 'Sorry to break it to you but they don't look fresh at all'.

One fan put a poll up on Twitter asking fans whether the City outfit was worse than Liverpool's white suits worn before the 1996 FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Another amusingly suggested the City squad 'forgot their trainers so had to do it in their school shoes'.

One City fan hated the outfit so much that he jokingly claimed 'I hope we liquidate'.

City fans will be hoping their football does the talking once again next season and they enjoyed a hard-fought pre-season victory on Saturday.

They beat Bayern 3-2, thanks to a double from Bernardo Silva and a goal from Lukas Nmecha.
