Peter Crouch has revealed a hilarious story about his model wife, Abbey Clancy, getting slightly jealous over a Liverpool star.
Since retiring, Crouch remains a strong personality in the football world, through his punditry work, comical adverts and podcast journey.
His most famous show has been his work on 'That Peter Crouch Podcast', which sees him share life stories with co-hosts Chris Stark and Steve Sidwell and rocketed up the charts as a major hit with fans.
But he is also part of 'The Therapy Crouch', a podcast featuring himself and Abbey, billed as a relationship podcast that sees the married duo talk about they own relationship that those of others.
The show has been running for over two years, and has also been a big hit with listeners given its relaxed nature and light-hearted showcasing of the lives of Crouch and Abbey.
And one of the funniest stories yet may have come out of one of the most recent shows, which saw the duo left in hysterics as Crouch revealed how he accidentally managed to wind up his wife - while talking about a Liverpool star.
'OK, well my whine is just about you jumping to conclusions,' Couch began, when the duo were talking about issues they have with the other. 'For instance, we were watching the match last night, and I said, "Oh my God, Alisson's been on fire recently".
'Ab's gone, "Who the f*** is she?"
The duo then burst out into laughter, as Clancy repeated: 'Who's she? Alisson, what kind of name is that?'
Crouch continued: 'She said, "Alisson, who's she, and why is she on fire?" I went, 'It's the f***ing Liverpool goalkeeper. And he's been making some great saves.'
It came just a matter of weeks after Crouch had made an awkward on-air slip up about Abbey during the Cheltenham Festival.
The former England striker dragged his other half into the equation as he reminisced about his days at the festival with ITV presenter Oli Bell.
Crouch has been a regular attendee at Prestbury Parkever since he was introduced to the sport by former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.
He's a deft hand at whacking elements of comedy into his punditry and the 44-year-old did not hold back when given the opportunity.
'I've been on a few horses,' he started. Then came the punchline.
'Abbey likes to ride... horses,' he added - a quip which left Bell unable to contain his cackling.
Crouch dug deeper: 'I've been thrown off a couple of times,' he said, and by that stage the ex-Liverpool star was almost losing his balance as he keeled over in laughter.
