But Piers Morgan did not shy away from mischievously posing with Rebekah Vardy at her husband Jamie's Premier League football match with his Leicester side against Arsenal on Saturday.
The Good Morning Britain host, 54, posted the snap of him and pregnant Rebekah, 37, onto his Twitter account with the simple caption, 'It’s Rebekah Vardy!'
The pair both beamed for the selfie, with Rebekah donning a woolen bobble hat and Piers wrapping up in a scarf.
The picture prompted several fans to allude to Rebekah's alleged role in the bust up by posting a snake emoji, with one saying, 'with that many leaks in one room... the rain's gonna get in'.
Piers's post comes after Rebekah was explosively accused by Coleen of the leaks, which the expectant star fiercely denied - leading to the WAG war which has captivated the nation.
Coleen was given the nickname 'Wagatha Christie' when it was revealed that she had been leaking fake stories on her private Instagram to see who was passing the information to the press.
She wrote on October 9: 'For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.
'There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family - all without my permission or knowledge.
'After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion. To try and prove this, I came up with an idea, I blocked everyone from viewing Instagram except ONE account. '
She continued: '(Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven't had stories on there for a while).
'Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper.
'And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flood in my new house.
'It's been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it's come from.
'I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them.
'It's......... Rebekah Vardy's account.'
She also wrote: 'This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it.....
Since her exposure, Coleen has not publically discussed the scandal which Rebekah has persistently denied her part in.
At the time, it was revealed by sources close to Rebekah that leading law firm Kingsley Napley has sent Coleen a letter on her behalf demanding she provides them with the evidence she has against Becky so that she can complete her investigation.
Becky has called in a forensic team to analyse her Instagram account and identify the mole who sold fake stories to The Sun from Coleen’s Instagram account.
