Pobga and Matic take photo with bewildered dad who didn’t know who they were

For one football mad son, getting his family to take an interest in the sport closest to his heart has become a battle he has so far been unable to win.

His family do not watch it, do not go to games and certainly would not recognise the game's biggest names if they were stood next to them.

Well, in what turned out to become a viral story on social media, his parents did come face to face with the top stars, namely Manchester United pair Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic.

Nate Patrick, an eSports commentator and streamer, resides in Australia but knows everything there is to know about football.

As he explains in a thread on Twitter, his parents are oblivious to everything many football fans take as common knowledge.

The parents, currently living in the UK, were on the train when passengers behind them began to make more and more noise playing the popular card game Uno.

They turned around to make those playing the card game aware that they were causing a disturbance to their journey and they quickly came over to apologise, offering up a photo by way of an apology.

The gesture was well received and Patrick's dad handed what turned out to be Pogba his phone so he and his wife could have a photo taken on the train together.

Confused, Pogba admits he was offering a photo with him and Matic in it and although unsure who he was, the dad agreed so as to not be deemed impolite.

The picture soon made its way into the family Whatsapp group sending Patrick into a meltdown as he told his parents they had met 'THE MOST EXPENSIVE FOOTBALLER IN THE WORLD!'

It turns out the train had come from Manchester and both Pogba and Matic were enjoying some time off having helped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer make it seven wins from seven since he took charge.

The so-called rowdy passengers showed their competitive edge never wanes even away from the pitch as they went head-to-head at Uno.

Pogba relaxed drinking some mate tea, particularly popular among South American players, while Matic kept a flask close to hand.

The Frenchman appears to come out on top in his Instagram story before he later catches Matic sleeping.
