Bayern Munich have submitted a £60million plus add-ons proposal to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane with Chelsea among the clubs interested in the England captain

Chelsea may have a strong chance of signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer with Mauricio Pochettino looking to add a new No.9 to his squad. Pochettino managed Kane during their time together at Spurs - reaching a Champions League final back in 2019.

Bayern Munich have submitted an official proposal to sign the 29-year-old striker this summer. Thomas Tuchel is keen on signing the England captain with the German outfit launching a £60million plus add-ons offer as they look to strike a deal with Daniel Levy.

football.london understands Spurs are still making it very clear that they would immediately reject a bid for Kane should they receive one. Therefore, the likelihood is that unless Tottenham receive a record-breaking bid, it will be rejected out of hand.

Romelu Lukaku's arrival back in 2021 has shown that signing a top striker from Serie A could not always work out, whereas Kane has consistently proved he can perform at the top level in the Premier League. The Spurs star has been a Manchester United target since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was manager and current boss Erik ten Hag is also a known admirer.

However, Spurs are thought to prefer to sell Kane abroad rather than to a direct rival in the Premier League. This is a key stumbling block for the Blues, but should they be able to raise enough money through player sales to submit a huge offer for the 29-year-old - Levy may be inclined to accept it given Kane is now entering the final 12 months of his contract.

Kane’s contract negotiations with Tottenham were put on hold last season, with the striker instead focusing on trying to help the club return to the Champions League. After Spurs missed out on European football altogether following an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League - Kane may decide that he wants to play Champions League football as he moves into the latter stages of his career.

Who should Chelsea keep or sell this summer...?
