Aston Villa, Fulham and Burnley are keeping tabs on Celtic B team captain Ewan Otoo ahead of a possible January move.

The 20-year-old central defender has impressed in the Lowland League this season and is being watched by a host of English Premier League and Championship clubs.

Otoo, who is eligible to represent either Scotland or Ghana at international level, is out of contract at Celtic next summer.

Premier League clubs Villa and Fulham are interested in Otoo, likewise current Championship leaders Burnley, with the January window about to open.

Otoo has yet to make a first team appearance at Celtic but he impressed during a loan spell at League One club Clyde in the 2020-21 season.

The versatile player is capable of playing centre-back, left-back and as a holding midfielder, possessing an assured technical ability and tenacity when off the ball.

Otoo has been a Celtic player since the age of eight, progressing through the academy ranks and he signed his first professional contract with the Scottish champions in June 2019.

Glasgow-born Otoo has represented Scotland at youth level but he also qualifies for Ghana through his parents.

Celtic B are currently fourth in the Lowland League, the fifth level of Scottish football, six points behind leaders Rangers B.
