RB Leipzig 1-3 Schalke: Leipzig lose top spot in Bundesliga as Wagner's side win

RB Leipzig slipped from the top of the Bundesliga after falling to a home defeat to Schalke on Saturday.

David Wagner's side were impressive as they lead 2-0 at half time after goals from Salif Sane and Amine Harit put the former Huddersfield manager's side ahead.

Manchester City loanee Rabbi Matondo extended that advantage early in the second half before an Emil Forsberg strike proved to be a mere consolation for the home side.

Leipzig are now second in the league after Bayern Munich earned a valuable win on the road to Paderborn.
