Seventeen days after their 5-1 victory against RB Leipzig in their last match of 2024, the German record champions comfortably claimed a 6-0 (3-0) victory in their only test match before the Bundesliga season resumes against Austrian Champions League participants FC Red Bull Salzburg.

The 90 one-sided minutes were not a real test just five days ahead of their league match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Eric Dier opened the scoring in the 10th minute, followed by his second goal in the 24th minute. Michael Olise found the net twice (29th/48th), with Joshua Kimmich (56th) and young prospect Jonathan Asp-Jensen (76th) also getting on the score sheet for the league leaders.

Coach Vincent Kompany utilized a total of 22 players in front of 26,107 spectators.
