Brighton failed with an offer for Lazio defender Mario Gila over the summer.

Lazio refused to do business, particularly as Gila's contract carries a 50 per cent sell-on clause for Real Madrid.
However, things could soon change with Gila's deal running to 2027.
The defender has emerged as among the best performing defenders in Serie A over the past 12 months.
