Manchester United supporters have told manager Ralf Rangnick to use a 4-3-3 formation for the rest of the season in a poll after their defeat by Wolves.
Rangnick was hired after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking and arrived with a stellar reputation for tactics, but has since been criticised for a string of poor showings.
As a result, a debate has begun over whether his preferred 4-2-2-2 system suits his players - with a large portion of the fanbase believing change is needed.
During his matches so far, Rangnick has often tinkered with the lay-out of his team, and even copied Wolves' five at the back shape earlier this week.
But with no clear blueprint for success, a poll conducted by the Manchester Evening News has led to supporters calling for the 4-3-3 to be introduced.
Over 20,000 votes were lodged, with the standout first choice earning 57 per cent of the overall vote.
Rangnick called for United to take more control of matches when taking to the helm, but his side have failed to assert themselves, leading to frustration in the stands.
The new formation may also hand Donny van de Beek one final chance of salvaging his career at Old Trafford, with the outcast midfielder currently set to leave.
In second place was the 4-2-3-1, the system adopted by Solskjaer. With 32 per cent, it was vastly less popular than the 4-3-3.
Intriguingly, Rangnick's 4-2-2-2 shape received the least votes, with only six per cent.
Five per cent of the share voted for the 'other' option in the poll, meanwhile.
