Lawrence Shankland said he was fulfilling his "dream" of playing for Rangers after signing for the Scottish Premiership giants from Hearts on Tuesday.

Shankland has put pen to paper on a two-year contract, with the option of another 12 months, bringing an end to his four-year stint at Tynecastle.
The 30-year-old captained Hearts to a second-placed finish in the top flight this season, after they were beaten 3-1 by Celtic on the final day, with Rangers ending up in third.
Only Motherwell's Tawanda Maswanhise (17) scored more goals in the Scottish Premiership in 2025-26 than Shankland's 16, while he also provided three assists.
During his time with Hearts, Shankland made 171 appearances in all competitions, registering 113 goal contributions (88 goals, 25 assists) over that period.
And though he will miss out on the Champions League qualifiers with Hearts, Shankland had no regrets about his decision to join a club he has supported his entire life.
"I am delighted to be here and to have this opportunity," Shankland told Rangers TV.
"Rangers is my boyhood club, and it has always been a dream to play here, so I was really keen to get it done.
"A lot of hard graft has gone in to get to this point, and I'm just really happy.
"The club are in a position where they want to get back to winning silverware more regularly, and I want to be a big part of that, so that's what I have come here to do."

Shankland was out of contract at Hearts last summer and was linked with a move to Ibrox then before signing a three-year deal in late June.
He joins a Rangers side that have not won the Scottish crown since 2020-21 under Steven Gerrard, while Celtic's title triumph saw them overtake their Old Firm rivals for the most top-flight trophies in the history of the division.
"We are delighted to have Lawrence join Rangers," boss Dany Rohl said.
"He is a player with proven quality, leadership and work ethic, and his goalscoring record in Scotland speaks for itself.
"He understands the demands and expectations that come with playing for Rangers, and we believe his character and experience will be a huge asset for the group."
Immediately after completing his transfer, Shankland, who has scored four times in 18 Scotland outings, will join Steve Clarke's squad for the World Cup.
"I wish him well at the World Cup this summer, and look forward to welcoming him back to Glasgow during pre-season."
