Real Madrid and Barcelona are both interested signing Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, according to reports in France.
Sportsmail reported on Wednesday that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is ready to sell Guendouzi at the end of the season.
Arteta's patience was tested at the weekend when the midfielder clashed with Brighton's Neal Maupay in the 2-1 defeat on the south coast.
Words were exchanged between the pair with Guendouzi understood to have taunted Maupay by telling him how much players earn at Arsenal compared to Brighton.
Guendouzi, who reportedly earns £40,000 per week, also allegedly said Brighton's players 'were s***'.
Arsenal's top earner Mesut Ozil earns £350,000-a-week while Brighton's wage ceiling is somewhere in the region of £50,000-a-week.
French publication Le 10 Sport report that both Real Madrid and Barcelona could look to offer Guendouzi, who has two years left on his contract, a way out of Arsenal.
The report states that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is an admirer of Guendouzi's and would play him ahead of defensive midfielder Casemiro if the 21-year-old was to sign.
