Real Madrid are interested in signing Manchester United wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho, according to reports in Spain.

The 18-year-old winger has had a breakthrough season at Old Trafford, having  featured 10 times and scored two goals in all competitions for Erik ten Hag's side.

With his current deal set to expire in the summer, the Red Devils are looking to tie Garnacho to a new long-term deal but may be met with competition from abroad.

According to Relevo, Spanish giants Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the winger's situation and may soon table an offer for his services.

The LaLiga champions view Garnacho as one of the most talented prospects emerging in European football.

It's understood that United have met with Garnacho's representatives multiple times to sort out a contract extension, which has still not come about yet.

The same outlet claim that Garnacho would be open to a move to Madrid given the fact he was born there and regularly flies back to spend time with family.

Madrid chief Florentino Perez is looking to add Garnacho to his wealth of talented youth players having recently secured the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Endrick.

Garnacho has had a stellar campaign for the Red Devils and has quickly become a fan favourite at Old Trafford.

His most recent cameo came in their 2-1 win over Fulham in the Premier League where Garnacho scored a 93rd minute winner.

He also picked up two assists in a 28-minute cameo in their League Cup clash against Aston Villa the match prior.

His performances have been so impressive it led to fans suggesting he should earn a call-up to the Argentina first-team for their World Cup campaign.
