Cristiano Ronaldo has been hilariously mocked by Real Sociedad's club mascot who imitated the forward's famous 'siu' celebration following United's 1-0 Europa League win over the Spanish side.
Both sides had already qualified for the knockout stages of the tournament, with Sociedad topping the Group E, and despite losing to Erik ten Hag's side, their mascot, called 'Txurdin', ran over to supporters behind the goal to celebrate their first place finish.
Jumping up and down, the mascot, who is a football with a crown on, proceeded to copy the Portuguese's infamous celebration, with the Sociedad fans chanting back at him.
Alejandro Garnacho's first half strike was the only goal of the match but did not put the Mancunians top of the group, with United needing a win and two goals to finish above the Blue and Whites.
Interestingly, the 18-year-old appeared to ask the former Galactico if he could do his celebration after scoring his first goal for the senior side on Thursday.
United could now face either Barcelona or Juventus in the knockout stages of the tournament.
Man United could also be drawn against Sporting Lisbon in the knockout stages and the prospect of facing their former football prodigy, Ronaldo, in the last 16 has spooked their manager Ruben Amorim.
When asked about the potential reunion with Ronaldo, Amorim joked said: 'We don't want Manchester United, but if we have to, Ronaldo stays on the bench, so he doesn't score goals.'
While whoever United get drawn will be concerned about the talent CR7 possesses, they should also be worried about the young Argentinian, Garnacho, who put on a dazzling performance against Real Sociedad.
'Going off the evidence that we've seen, he's played twice and he's been amazing,' Owen Hargreaves said to BT Sport when asked about the 18-year-old's current form. 'Two games so far and he's been the difference maker.
'I'm proud of him - when you step on that stage as a young guy you never know, sink or swim. So far, he's done a great job.'
Paul Scholes, who was also on punditry concurred, saying: 'I'm really pleased for the young lad, he's been United's best player.
'He's a young lad, he's going to learn. His attitude has changed and we're seeing the benefits of that, now he looks a really top-class young player.'
United will take on a struggling Aston Villa this weekend at Villa Park, with a win able to lift the Red Devils up to joint third in the Premier League standings.
